Have students examine a climate map of the world and determine what areas have seasons. What is the difference between climate and weather? Then have students decide on the clothing needed in a variety of areas.
Have students research tourist attractions in a given country. They can visit travel agencies or rent travel videos to get information. Using their findings, students can make travel posters or brochures to attract visitors.
Have students examine typical houses in a variety of world regions and note similarities and differences (Venn Diagram). Have students decide what environmental factors influenced the various styles of houses.
